I am a Russian linguist and noticed the fact that Kira speaks something clearly derived from that language when I rewatched the movie as an adult. I have also noticed some possible Russian-derived speech in the Podling village, for example when Kira's mother says "Visiliche!" This sounds like a Russian words meaning "happy." -Alexander Moir
You might want to listen again - she said, "Kovye", not "Kto vwi", before she said "otkuda". - luvdalz68 69.171.163.116 06:44, May 13, 2011 (UTC)
It makes sense that Kira says "Otkuda"[]
It translates to "Where are you from?". It also makes sense that she would say "Kto vy" ("Who are you?")
yes. podling.
