The Spriton Plains were a collection of hills and meadows on Skarith, located south of the Endless Forest. It was dotted with valleys containing brooks and streams concealed by tree copses.[1] The Plains were lacking in metals, thus wood, fiber and clay were the region's principal raw materials.[2]

A primarily agricultural region, it was the homeland of the Spriton Clan, the majority of which lived in Sami Thicket, and several Podling communities.[3]

Ecology[]

Fauna[]

The Plains had a wide variety of animal life of all sizes, from small burrowers to large-bodied surface dwellers:[1]

Flora[]

The hills and meadows of the Plains were rich in grass and wildflowers.[1] The Spriton, through many generations of agicultural experience, managed to extend the growing seasons of several crops and yielded larger harvests than in other areas, as well as successfully introduce non-native cultivars.[13]

The tangle-weed was exploited by the Spriton to fortify their pottery,[2] while the Sour Squash was an important food source during the winter.[14]

The Plains also included some woodland, such as the forest of Kep[15] and Sami Thicket.[1]

Nenadi-Staba, the patron tree of the Spriton Clan, grow close to the Spriton Pavilion.[16]
