Seladon
Seladon I was the Maudra of the Vapra Clan and All-Maudra of the entire Gelfling race, who lived during the late Age of Division.[1]
She was respected by her courtiers for her efforts to bring unity to the divided Gelfling race, and was considered a kind and brave ruler, skilled with a spear and unmatched in her ability to traverse Raunip's Pass with ease. She was also the dearest friend of her advisor, Dot'leth. Seladon was, nevertheless, a cruel and dismissive mother, who mocked her daughter's inability to match her skill in flying. Furthermore, despite her dreams of a unified Gelfling culture, she was neglectful of her Sifan constituents, on whose vessels she would never deign to set foot on. She was also a staunch conservative, having her throne decorated with flowers in the manner of the Ha'rar traditionalists, just as her ancestors did, and did not heed her non-Vapran subjects expressing concern that her reign was eroding their distinctive cultures.[1]
Her death was exploited by Fenth to encourage the Sifa Clan to secede from the authority of the Vapra Clan.[1] After the crisis was averted, Mayrin pledged to name her first daughter after her mother.[2]
