The Field of Fire was a remote valley of Thra far from Skarith, made up of smoke and molten rock. Its environment was extremely hostile, with only the strongest creatures being able to survive there.[1]
After the Great Division, urGoh claimed to have heard about the place during his wanderings, and proposed it as a new homeland for the Makraks. Raunip volunteered to lead them there, despite the risks to his own life. On the way, he traversed the mountain of Kral and encountered the Pirate birds of Lados. He eventually found the Field, but lost half his face in the process and developed a respiratory disorder.[1]
