Drownedspear

The Drowned Spear was an ancient artifact that consisted of a rocky staff armed with a crystallized blade of water at its end. Due to its nature, the Drowned Spear could be utilized in battle against other Firelings.

History[]

According to the Fire That Stays long ago when the Firelings were divided into tribes, each separated by water from a river from the surface. The chiefs of Mithra though sought to become more and as one tribe. So they worked as one to create the first Glass Castle where the river flows, signifying as something that once kept them apart and also what brought them together.

When the story of the Glass Castle became forgotten and the Great Dim occurred, the Fire That Stays believing that the current society of Firelings had become weak deemed Mithra and its people unworthy of being rebuilt. He saved the last of the water from the river that separated the Firelings to create the Drowned Spear, both as a weapon and a gift to his generation which he planned to fully drown and extinguish their flames.[1]

Thurma and Nita discovered the weapon after they managed to pass through the waterfall as part of the Fire That Stays test. In truth the old Fireling never expected them to succeed and also placed the spear behind the waterfall in hopes that his pupils would use it against one another. When that plan failed and upon discovery of his plan, the Fire That Stays proceeded to take the spear and lead an army of his coerced Fragors to attack the capital of the Firelings.
