Bell-Birds were birds native to Skarith. They sported feathers longer than a Gelfling was tall[1] and were said to be the only creatures left on Thra capable of speaking to stone. Their calls were audible halfway across the world and could shake mountains.[2] Bell-Birds would roost at the Sanctuary every seven ninets, building nests made of stone.[1]

The song teller Gyr was believed to have been in possession of a firca made from the bone of a Bell-Bird, which had the power to Dream etch his thoughts onto stone when played.[2] Gyr furthermore composed the song The Bell Bird and the Mountain.[3]

They were rare by the early Age of Division,[2] with Thriya failing to sight any during her visit to the Sanctuary.[1]
