I really like the fact that they use puppets instead of CGI, as It add a unique touch to the show. I like CGI as well, but i think dark Crystal would have not been the same thing as we know It to be today, if made in Cgi. I love the fact that they are puppets because they seem real. ( Well, tecnically they are xD)
But i cant stop asking myself : making a show with puppets, Is It more or less expensive than a CGI animated show ?
Sometimes I think about how lucky Brea and Seladon are to have Tavra in their lives. Those little moments where she talks to them- from the "I see you" scene with Seladon, to the "well you're both very stubborn" scene with Brea, to her death with both. Even the "this is wrong!" "this is the law!" "it's the way of things..." scene. She sympathized with Brea but understood that it was just how things were and felt that she couldn't do anything. She cared deeply about her sisters and always took them seriously. Not once did she belittle her sisters or invalidate their emotions. It's almost like she felt she had to be the mother figure in their lives where Mayrin just couldn't. Even with her duties as a paladin and a princess, along with her affair with Onica, Tavra always made time for them. She's easily one of the best characters. Also bonus points for being a sword lesbian.
Me and Greater good have made a compromise that is we will move the majority of Kylanisim to brothapedia and I'll spend many hours of my mortal exsitance buying every single peice of dark crystal merchandise in order to construct more theories and reviews on the subject and greater good will hopefully leave your memes alone and instead express enjoyment in them.
However I think that you you should have a say do you agree with this terms or not?

I've recently become fascinated with the Gruenaks due to the implications behind them.
They were the first (as far as we know) race to be targeted for genocide by the Skeksis.
They had unrivaled engineering skills, having fixed and even improved upon skekTek's lab in just one day.
The survivors seen in the series were apparently acquired from a Sifan mariner (which seems to imply that some Gelfling practice slavery, or at least have no qualms about trafficking sentient beings).
The preview pages of the Bestiary book describe them as having once been a technologically highly advanced civilization, the traces of which have been lost to time.
The Gelfling prisoners being manhandled by them didn't seem to be that shocked or surprised by their captors' species.
Despite the supposed advances of their civilization, they are never seen in the Creation Myths prequels.
So, weaving all this together, I've come to the tentative conclusion that the Gruenaks are not native to Skarith (where most Dark Crystal lore take place). This would explain why they're never seen in the comic prequels and why the Gelfling don't seem to know anything about them.
Perhaps skekGra, in his journeys of conquest, left Skarith, found the Gruenak homeland and became alarmed by their technology, thus prompting their extermination, but kept their existence a secret from the Gelfling. After all, it would have been in the Skeksis' interest to portray themselves as the only ones capable of creating and maintaining technology, plus a publicly-known genocide on their record wouldn't have endeared them to their Gelfling constituents.
Just my thoughts, which could be contradicted at any time by the release of new material. What are yours?

So, I have been thinking and this place has been getting to crowded with memes. (No offence) So, I am going to ban all memes, and I am going to make a new wiki called, "Dark Crystal/Kylanism memes!" Is That okay with everyone before I make it?
And a lot of you guys started to hate on it! And Sad Ostrich said that these memes bring you guys together! I am so sorry! I promise I will make a meme!

Let me know if I've missed any, but it seems pretty clear that the Mondo Levidian beats all contenders:
Mondo Levidian: large enough to swallow a Vapran flagship whole and leave it relatively intact, as well as support an internal environment capable of sustaining entire Bobling/Zoa populations. Basically a kaiju.
Vassa: skekSa's dreadnought, whose internal structure is basically large enough to accommodate multiple chambers for skekSa's use. Corey Godfrey's illustrations though seem to imply that it's smaller than the Mondo Levidian.
Tortle: Pretty huge, with nostrils that are about as large as a Gelfling, at least judging by the illustration. Clearly smaller than Levidian though.
Island monster: The creature from Creation Myths that lures Gyr with its hallucinogenic fruit. Pretty big, though judging by the size of the tree attached to its tail compared to Gyr, it's probably Tortle or Vassa-sized.
